Electric drive principle

After the actuator motor is powered on, the gear reducer converts high speed and low torque into low speed and high torque, driving the valve stem to rotate the ball. When receiving the open/close signal, the motor rotates forward and reverse to open and close the valve; when receiving the adjustment signal (such as 4-20mA), the motor accurately controls the rotation angle of the ball (0°~90°) to achieve flow rate proportional adjustment.

 
 

Sealing mechanism principle

The ball and the valve seat adopt a metal hard seal or PTFE soft seal structure: when fully open, the ball through hole is aligned with the pipeline, and the flow resistance is as low as 0.02MPa; when closed, the ball fits the valve seat precisely, and the elastic deformation of the sealing material (soft seal) or the high-precision machined surface (hard seal) is used to block the leakage of the medium, and the leakage rate meets the API 598 standard.

 
 

Signal transmission principle

The built-in intelligent control module supports multiple signal protocols: analog signals (such as 4-20mA corresponding to 0°~90° opening) are used for continuous adjustment, and digital signals (such as MODBUS RTU) are used for remote configuration. The feedback potentiometer monitors the valve opening in real time and transmits it back to the control system through the signal cable to achieve "command-execution-feedback" closed-loop control.

 
 

Safety protection principle

The actuator integrates torque overload protection and limit switch: when the valve is blocked or the medium pressure is abnormal, the motor automatically cuts off the power to avoid burning; the mechanical limit device ensures that the ball stops accurately at the fully open/fully closed position to prevent over-torque from damaging the sealing surface. At the same time, it is equipped with a manual override handle for emergency operation when the power is off.

1. What is the explosion-proof grade of this valve? Can it be used in flammable and explosive scenarios?
The standard type is non-explosion-proof design. If an explosion-proof environment (such as chemical, oil and gas) is required, an optional Ex d IIB T4 Gb explosion-proof actuator can be used. It has passed ATEX certification and meets the use requirements of Zone 1/21 hazardous areas.
 

2. What are the power supply types of electric actuators? Does it support DC power supply?
The conventional power supply is AC220V/50Hz or AC380V/50Hz, and supports customized DC24V DC power supply (need to be specified in advance), which is suitable for special scenarios such as solar power supply.
 

3. Are there any restrictions on the installation direction of the valve? Can it be installed vertically or inverted?
Horizontal installation (stem facing up) is recommended to extend the life of the seal; vertical installation requires that the actuator is not affected by pipeline stress; inverted installation may affect the heat dissipation of the motor, and is not recommended for non-essential scenarios.

 

4. When the medium temperature exceeds 120℃, is a special material required?
Yes. When the medium temperature is ≤200℃, it can be replaced with metal hard seal + high temperature grease; >200℃ requires customized alloy steel valve body and ceramic coated ball, and specific working condition parameters need to be provided for confirmation.

 

5. Does the protection level of the actuator meet the outdoor rain environment? How long is the warranty period?
The protection level of the actuator is IP67, which can withstand heavy rain spray, but long-term immersion requires customized IP68 model. The warranty period of the whole machine is 2 years, and the warranty period of the actuator motor is 5 years (free repair for non-human damage).
