work principle of 3 inch electric ball valve
Timing logic operation
The MCU obtains the time signal through RTC, and the timing task is stored in EEPROM. The system periodically scans the trigger conditions. When the preset time is reached, the MCU outputs a signal to drive the actuator to automatically open and close the valve.
Electric actuator drive
After the motor is powered on, the gearbox decelerates and increases the torque (output torque 50N・m), driving the ball to rotate, and the limit switch feedbacks the opening. When it reaches the fully open/fully closed position, the power is cut off, and the positioning error is <±0.5°.
Communication protocol analysis
Supports MODBUS RTU protocol, RS485 interface receives host computer instructions (such as 0x05 to open the valve), the protocol analyzer converts the data stream and returns the valve status (time/task/fault code) to achieve remote monitoring.
Seal self-compensation
Under the floating ball structure, the medium pressure pushes the ball to fit the PTFE valve seat to form a seal. When the valve seat is worn, the actuator torque is adaptively compensated (maximum 15%), and the leakage rate is lower than the API 598 standard.
FAQ
1. Does the timing module support temporary task insertion? For example, how to deal with sudden valve opening requirements?
Yes. You can send the "on/off immediately" command through local buttons or remote communication, and give priority to temporary operations. The original timing task is suspended and automatically resumed after the operation is completed.
2. Can multiple valves synchronize timing tasks through the same APP? Does it support batch configuration?
Yes. The APP supports Bluetooth/Wi-Fi networking in the LAN, and can connect up to 32 valves at the same time. It supports "group management" and "task batch distribution" functions, which greatly improves the debugging efficiency of multiple devices.
3. Is it used in flammable and explosive environments? Is there an explosion-proof certification?
Optional Ex d IIB T6 Gb explosion-proof actuators are certified by ATEX and IECEx and are suitable for Zone 1/21 hazardous areas. The medium characteristics and explosion-proof level requirements must be specified when ordering.
4. Will the timing accuracy drift after long-term operation? How to calibrate the time?
The industrial-grade RTC chip has a built-in temperature compensation circuit, with an annual error of <±5 minutes. It supports "one-click time synchronization" through the APP or host computer, and synchronizes to the NTP network time or PLC system clock to ensure the time consistency of multiple devices.
5. Can the valve replace the sealing component when the pipeline is under pressure?
Not recommended. This product is designed for online maintenance. The upstream and downstream media pressure must be cut off first, and the pressure must be released through the drain port at the bottom of the valve body before the valve cover can be removed to replace the seal. If pressure maintenance is required, a "self-decompression" structure must be customized (extra paid option).
